Both tales that make up "Ciels de feu et de glace" are apocalyptic paintings. Marcel Schwob is undoubtedly one of the most visual storytellers of all French literature.
With "La mort d’Odjigh" and "L’incendie terrestre" ("The death of Odjigh" and "The ground fire") he takes us to the edge of fantasy, through a landscape of unforgettable atmospheres.
